CLEAN WAVE BUSINESS MODEL
Clean Wave does not sell equipment. Our ecoFloc and ecoFlash technologies are provided as a
toll-based service. This model allows farmers to get up and running without capital investment.
WASTEWATER PROCESSING
Iowa St. University estimated that dairies incur costs for wastewater management of over $0.02 per gallon. Clean Wave will provide processing of dairy wastewater that will save the dairy over $0.01
per gallon.
RECYCLED FIBER DRYING
Fiber drying for use as bedding will be billed on a per yard basis. The dairy will pay the operating costs in addition to the tolling fee.
GREENHOUSE GAS REDUCTIONS
Clean Wave's system will generate greenhouse gas reductions based primarily on methane avoided of about 5.6 metric tons of CO2 per cow. After verifcation, carbon credits can be sold on the voluntary market. A protocol is being developed to allow sale of credits on the California & Quebec market which has a much higher value per credit.
SALE OF RECYCLED FIBER
An additional revenue stream is available in certain geographic areas in close proximity to partner locations. Fibers dried with ecoFlash can be used as a replacement for sphagnum peat moss, a finite resource. Clean Wave will purchase the extracted fiber and truck it to an industry partner to be finished and marketed through their established retail systems.
